The mangosteen is known as "The Queen of Fruits" for its delicious and unique taste of the fruit itself. Yet the majority of the nutrients are found in the rind. Eating the rind of the mangosteen would be like trying to eat the rind of a grapefruit. Yuk! Somehow we need to consume the Whole Fruit to gain the greatest nutritional value. That's what Xango has developed for us.
"Xanthones show considerable biological activity, and it is surprising that none of them so far have an established use in medicine." - Taylor and Frost, Phytochemical Dictionary, 1983

I honestly have never tried a mangosteen, or even heard of them, but I will now. I had no idea. Excellent lens! Posted March 19, 2008 |

I love mangosteens. I first tried them while on holiday in the Maldives. Heavenly. I never once thought that they could have such great health benefits. Thanks for a great lens. Posted March 16, 2008 |

Good job. You've got enough factual info here to keep the overall feel of this page from being too salesy. I've never heard of mangosteen, so I wonder what OTHER fruit it tastes the most like, and where it's grown. Also, I assume there are other ingredients in Xango, so it might be good to mention what the calorie and caffeine levels of it are. Posted March 14, 2008 |
